YO GEORGIANS! :)

Looks like everyone who usually posts to this thread has just about flown the coop. Hope everyone is doing okay.

I'm here. :) Just nothing much to post about lately.

Well, I told you I had a friend wanted me to hatch some turkey eggs for her. The eggs have been in the incubator for 8 days now. I have candled them and I am not seeing any veins yet. Some of the eggs do look cloudy, So, I have only hatched turkey eggs once before and that was a while ago. Does it take longer to see veins? I know they take 28 days. So, Tabasco Jack, any advice? Are these infertile or does it just take longer to begin to see anything?

I only hatched turkey eggs once and I saw the veins around 8-10 days. I'd give them another week or so and check again.

Hey, anyone have cream legbar hatching eggs? My girls are just not laying and I wanted to add more girls to the flock. You can pm me.

The most exciting thing going on around the southern part of Georgia are the fairs. I really don't go to them anymore. My excitement for the day is messing with my Silkies in the morning. I have one broody mix, sitting and my hubby needs to finish the coop. At least the weather has felt better here lately.

I need a car ASAP our car was totaled and the insurance company is taking there sweet time replacing it. I need to get up north so I can get some frizzle colored egg layers from Flower and Easter eggers from farmgirl101 as soon as my new coop is finished. I have some customers who want colored eggs.

Well, seeing that it will be weeks before they hatch, You have time! :wee:D

I feel the same as this chick after loading the animals, talking to the kids, letting them pet everyone, reloading them, and then putting them back. Lol. Kids were cute and they loved the animals. Especially the ducks and my goat Goober, who licked at least half of them.

So, we think our goats are getting pregnant today. Very stinky, vocal and all that. Is there anything special I need to do now? We are new to goats. If it 'takes' we are looking at March 21. (Dwarf goats)
