YO GEORGIANS! :)

Wow, I missed a lot the last 2 weeks. So due to one of my game "hens" ending up as a rooster, I've had a bit of a stressful time in my coop lately. My FBCMs roo has been terribly mean to me and the little game rooster. I was finally able to purchase one of those giant water cages, which I took and made a poultry cage out of it. I just put my game roo in there the other day, and boy did I cause a commotion!! My FBCMs roo has been picking on the game roo, but he decided to charged me when I grabbed the game roo to remove him from the pen. Crazy bird!

Anyways, now a peace has settled over my flock once again, except in the morning when my 2 roos are having a crowing contest.

Jerry Lee is getting used to his cage, which will be his home until I get the second coop built in October. Then he will have his own flock of girls to occupy his time. Elvis is now king of his flock once again, and seems to be reconciled to me since the competition has been removed.

I'll get some updated pics posted soon.

This rooster is for sale. He is 26 weeks old and carries a green egg gene. Make offer!
I'm still waiting for someone to want this rooster! We rent out our house as a vacation rental and he is just too loud at 5:30 am! Renters are here to stay up late and to sleep in! Please, if anyone can use another rooster, please call!!!!! Help!

He's gorgeous and we want another rooster soon but first we have to rehome our current ones or I would take him off your hands! He's beautiful!

Hello to all, been so busy building the big boat if we needed it that I haven't been on lately. My what a raining season we have had. We have never seen such ever. I cannot complain, I know we needed it for the rain table but for the vegetable end of our farming it was a sad season. But we had a great berry crop. 16 weeks of strawberries!!! wohoo!!! Happily we have a commercial kitchen where I'm canning and cooking away. Now I'm having the fight of my life with kliebesela pneumonia.. I am now up to 5 pneumonias in little over a year. I'm not grumbling just saying I thank the Lord for faith that things will get better, they absolutely will. I've been blessed with good friends to help out with the farm during the times I've been down and I so appreciate that and encouraged to get well by the little babies born and growing up.... Well, in the midst of all this I have to show you a pretty silkie....mmmm Let me see...which to post....So hoping she is a girl, because I think I have a boy to match with. Silkies never tell their age until soooo late! Have a blessed day.....

Hey to both of you! Yes, we sometimes get nice pretty dark brown eggs but mostly from the older hens. Some of the younger ones lay paler eggs though. Side by side of a dark egg and a pale one. And pickens county for me as well, ohju! Right on Four Mile Church off of 53.
I'm off Lawson Federal off of Four Mile Church
