Yup I know the feeling. My Current Flock of 16 only has two white silkies, 2 mixed up silkies, 2 Welsummer hens with one Roo, everything else is of varied breeds. My two little new Polish hatchlings will get a brand new coop. I've heard too many comments to the negative about them getting picked on by general flock members du to their attractive head feathering…not taking the chance. I plan on hatching more in the spring so they won't be alone too long.
 
Hey Geogians! Where is everyone??? Been very quiet on here lately! I have some bantam Seramas I am hoping will hatch in the next day or so. They are for a friend. I also will put my 32 Large Fowl (LF) eggs in lockdown tonight and hope they hatch on Friday! Will anyone want to buy a few $3 chicks? I hope to have some Naked Necks (green egg layers), some frizzled and regular EEs, and others! Let me know!

I am so excited that my 5 runner ducks have discovered the lake! They had been hanging around the coop all day eating my bushes. Now they hang out at the lake all day eating lake stuff! They are so cute! The wild geese came today and they all get along fine! I still probably need to sell one of the males. Anyone interested?

I am going to start Nutrisystems soon. Anyone want to diet with me? I will assign all the eggs I get (from different chickens) a certain exercise and when I get them, I will do those exercises! I can't wait to be thin again! Anyone else doing Nutrisystems and can give me some pointers?
 
Ill take a few Easter eggers! I need to get more layers besides my new itty bittys coming . Just not naked necks for me.

I hope you get more sleep than I do when I put mine in lockdown! I'm on day 10 with my game eggs so I get to sleep good for now. Hope you post pics of the cuties after they hatch!

It's great when the ducks discover the lake or pond. My Pekins and Blk Swedes love hanging out at the pond all day. They have a few wild duck friends that play with them. I have a Pekin drake and 2 blk Swede drakes that I need to sell. Out of 7 ducks 5 were males- just my luck!

I just finished the Adkins diet. It was hard at first but so worth it. I lost 44lbs and still want to go another 10 so may jump back on that since there is an extra week until Thanksgiving. Wishing all the best with the diet.

Check out TaylorHobbyFarms.com - They are located in Dalton. They're on BYC too. I've never ordered from them, but if I probably will someday. They have a great collection of very good breeds.

WOW, 44 pounds! That's great! I know you must feel fabulous! I hope I will be successful too!
 
Put my Large fowl eggs in lockdown tonight. 3 were early deaths, so I am down to 27. Hope to get a good hatch on Friday! Trying to get my 9 week olds introduced into the big coop before the babies need to be in the garage. I have a brooder that they will stay in for a few weeks before they go into the garage (super large crate), so I do have a few weeks to get them all together. They have been free ranging since they were 10 days old, but they are usually in a different location. Have started free ranging them closer to the big girls. But there is plenty of space for them to go run and hide if they need to. That's the biggest beef I have with raising chickens.....the introduction to new flock stuff! It's such a pain!
 
We are in Decatur GA. Have a chicken coop ready no chickens though yet. If anyone is looking for a new home for their chickens we can adopt 6-8 of them.
