I should really go there sometime. But I'm afraid to go there because my sister usually accompanies me, and while she's not addicted to chickens, she IS addicted to spending. And it doesn't matter what it's on, either!


We hit up a general auction in downtown Jackson once, and got home with about $2,000 worth of junk...

I'll be there but I'm picking up chicks I pre ordered. Can't wait, last year I had the flu during this show.

Last year I hatched out my first chick when my hen went broody. I looked online, as it was my first time hatching chicks, to see what I needed to do. 21 days, that was the magic number. So I waited.

After 18 days, I got this little surprise. Sadly, the other girls were not as caring to the babies as momma Georgia. Either way, my first grandchild was beautiful.

Today, I'm proud to say, my first hatched baby laid her very first egg!
