@carcar80 I found her like this, this morning. No footprints outside besides the deer and the puppy from next door (he can't get inside the pen). She had a mass of feces stuck to her(almost frozen on). I immediately put her in a hot tub of water and got it off. I was not expecting what I found.. I cleaned off some of the waste to prevent infection and then seperated her in her own pen.

Hmm. I have no idea. I can tell you- which you may already know- these kids are IMPRESSIVELY resilient. With just a little TLC and less truly "medical" intervention than one would think, I think they can pull through just about anything. Good luck!!

Knowing the weather the past few days, and with that damage, it sounds more like she had a problem with poop simply freezing to her butt. If she tried to lay an egg during that time, it could have caused internal damage. If not, then it could have been simply the freezing poop causing serious irritation.

not sure. I haven't ventured out of the house. I would wait to go anywhere until tomorrow. Give the DOT time to clear the roads
