YO GEORGIANS! :)

I am going. I am anxious to see the chickens and meet some BYCers.

So NICE! Can I move in too? :lau Wish my DH was handy but he sure isnt! I am the owner of the tools and I am the only one who knows how to use them too. Never heard of that till I met him! He isn't a city boy either just a spoiled kid tbat was never taught how to do anything. Now I am having to do the teaching! He has the strength to pound nails, I don't anymore with my muscle problem, but I have the know how. Ugghhh!

I wish I had a live-in chicken sitter today. It's BEAUTIFUL outside today, just like it was yesterday. So I let those in the main pen loose yesterday to free range. This morning I was going to let them follow me around the yard as I flipped things over for bugs. But I am SO sick, I've barely left my bed!

Plus getting my nieces and nephews to feed them is going to be like pulling teeth.

Wait a second... what color silkies do YOU have?? LOL!

Oh no, none of us have a problem ;) (my daughter said I do, but I told her anything that cute isn't a "problem", lol)
I have partridge and splash bantam Silkies with plenty of "fluff".

Getting so close! IF weather holds out, and we have enough time in the evenings, I'd say it'll be ready for the kiddos by the weekend!

Left to do: Finish trim staining inside run, trim/stain the eave areas, make ladder to coop door, make/place laying boxes, Hang front and back door, and figure out/get the roost bar in the coop. I also want to mount some bamboo poles in the roost area (we have bamboo running out our EARS

)but that's not a must-have to move the birds.

Sorry to hear your down, hoping for better days for you.

I'm going to Newnan in two weeks!!!!! Who's all going? I'm entering 6 birds in the junior division and but I'm going to do showmanship also. One birchen cochin bantam rooster, one black cochin bantam cockerel, and my blacallowedk cochin bantam hen that I got grand reserve with at our county show. I'm also bringing my paint silkie rooster, buff silkie hen, and my lemon blue old english game bantam hen.

My attempt at trying to get a good picture of my buff hen. Lol!

I would love to go, and that's the plan unless something weird happens. I've never been to a show, and I've only been at this for a year, so I don't have anything to enter, but I would love to meet people and learn new things. Suddenly I can think of plenty of questions: are non-exhibitors allowed? Are there generally a lot of birds for sale? I mean, should I empty my pocketbook before I go, lol? That buff hen is awfully pretty...
