I'm starting to think I may soon be the only person in Georgia with Cuckoo marans. And I didn't order a roo!

I'm nearing the end of the year's first hatching and I now have a few Splash Marans. (4, I think) I still have a few eggs left so that may change.

Purebred? Like blood-wise, since the Ameraucana club considers mottled to be an EE.

More than happy to work something out with you. You have Pekin eggs that I want/need ... I have Marans that you want/need. We dont live very far apart. I'm willing to bet we can come to an agreement

Nvm, abmaddox. Just read the ad. They are project birds and have some green eggs, so not quite purebred. I may still buy some chicks after you hatch them, because they ARE pretty!

I'm just thinking about getting some purebred Am's to brighten the blue coloring in my EE's eggs.

Hehe.. Sounds like a plan. My dad has the Pekins -I hatched them for him last spring.. He ended up with four females and one drake and says they're already laying this year and have been mating. I'll try to get a few and test fertility here in the next couple weeks. Will let you know!
