YO GEORGIANS! :)

Guys, hoping for some help, I had issues with my 20 week old sex link hen yesterday. She was in her nesting box a total of 15 or so hours. Finally came out this morning, but went right back in and stayed there all day. I have checked on her throughout the day, and I had just decided she was fine and let the flock out to free range a bit. She walked out of the coop, into the yard and circled a bit, when she raised up and dropped an egg out. Looked like there was a sac around the egg, but she reached back and chewed it? The egg dropped to the ground but it was soft shelled which she promptly ate. She seems to be acting fine, should I be concerned? Is this normal, and if not what should I do? Love this little lady and dont want her in bad shape.

She is just getting into laying. She is only 20 WKS old right? That's when they are supposed to start to lay.

OMG! Crisis here! A "feeling" made me go check on my 2 week old chicks. One of the sides of their small enclosure had been knocked over by some of the larger hens. All the chicks were there but my little mystery chick I hatched. (Was suppose to be a Lemon Orpington....but is altogether something else!) I frantically looked around and found her in the ducks wadding pool some ways away! I quickly grabbed her out of the water. She was still alive so I put her face towards the ground and started squeezing her stomach! A lot of water came gushing out! She was so cold! I rubbed her down telling her she has to fight to live. I quickly got her back in the brooder and that is where she is now. Breathing slowly, but breathing. I don't know if she will make it, but she is still alive. Don't know how long she was in there! I really want this mystery chick to live! She is different. Send your energies to her! Thanks!
