YO GEORGIANS! :)

Glad they're all ok!
Just checked on the babies! The newest of the bunch still has his yolk stuck to his bum, blood dries to him, and membrane dried to parts of him. Rough hatch! But we got him cleaned up and he is up and jumping! Looks like the Andalusian mix! I'm now referring to their stripes as their "war paint".

Wow! This has been a productive week for the girls! Check this out:

Monday 9
Tuesday 10

Sunday (today) 17 eggs!!!!

I've never gotten so many eggs from them before. I think I had some new layers this week.

I shared this on the coop thread.. But I'm so excited about my new coop coming hopefully this week!! It's basically finished at this point, we just have to get it to the house and see how much metal we need for the roof and get that. Them pick out paint! Which we may go do today.

Do you have plans for this or did u build it out of ur head that is what I normally do just build out of my head.

Well my husband is the creator of all things built around here, lol. He just does a lot of research and makes a hybrid of all the things he likes. I usually see a very rough sketch or two laying around for measurements and that's about it. Or sometimes that's just to get his vision across to me, the visual learner. ;)

Went to get the paint today. It's going to be a nature-y green with a dark stain trim.

Looking good so far. I'm building another to, it's a storybook book for my Tolbunt Polish. I figure they look pretty fairytale like any who so they deserve a house to match.

Got pics close to what it'll look like? Sounds beautiful!
I tend to build by the seat of my pants and imagination. I incorporate the necessities, but build from my thoughts always tweaking etc. I've spent a tone of time researching various pics of storybook houses on the web. I know my basic needs from the structure, as I am out and see just the right thing to add (and it's on sale) I grab it. This is a pic of the first coop I built which taught me a lot. As this new one takes shape I'll post pics.
