@GoldenChicks16 I am in the process of starting a new flock. Do you have any advice on where to get some chicks close to winder? I ordered my last group form my pet chicken but I was hoping to be able to get some locally.

Kattitude, what breeds do you have?

Right now I have Easter Eggers, Leghorns, Plymouth rock, Sumatra, Phoenix, Gold Polish, Bantam Cochin Frizzle, and White Silkies. But I'm about to be getting other Polish, Silver Laced Wyandottes, large-fowl Cochins, Cuckoo Marans, Silver Sebrights, and more colors of Silkies.

Abmaddox lives just north of you in Griffin. She'll probably be visiting me this weekend to exchange chicks.

Most of the local tractor supplies will be getting chicks starting in March, but I know a lady who needs to sell some of her flock because she has too many. They are only a few months old. I know she has some EEers. Let me know if you are interested. She lives in Jasper and I live in Dawsonville. Another lady sells many breeds of chicks (for colored eggs) Marans, EEer, Olive Eggers, etc. She lives in Cumming. These are all about an hour from you, but it would make for a fun day!

@LTygress I have 11 EEers. One roo, 7 adult hens and 3 pullets. I am looking for a few more. I want either orpingtons or another chocolate layer. I also want some silkies. My kids are begging for one each. A white one, a black one and IDK what the 3rd will want, he keeps changing his mind. I am working on building a larger coop, hoping to have one by spring to hold upwards of 25.
