I started these at midnight last night (yeah, I know - but I couldn't wait any longer...) The 3 outside of the turner had detached air cells. I let them sit for 12 hours before putting them in the incubator. Will stick in the turner on Tuesday or Wednesday.
 
Call me crazy.. But I (of course) just couldn't wait to candle my three Pekin testers that I set yesterday morning at 6am.

ALL THREE have bright yellow yolks with a deep gold colored dot right in the middle which wasn't there yesterday. Haha. I'll take that as a good sign.

In other news.. That, an worming Pony Boy will be the extent of my animal fun today. Rest of it will be packed with boring human interaction and keeping the tri-county roads hot. *sigh* :(
 
Has anyone ever had a customer who just doesnt understand that you cant make an order?!

Lol! Every time I post an ad for bunnies! I list what I have, which is usually purebred standard Rex, Rex mix, and plain old mixed bunnies. I usually get calls asking for lion heads. ***? I don't have lion heads. I have one lion head mix doe and I always list her kits as mixed bunnies. I had a man become incredibly irate. He was like well why can't you just get some from someone else and then sell to me. Ummm...because that would be cost prohibitive and I don't want to. Or my personal favorite, why can't you just give me your breeding pair of rexes instead of me paying for bunnies? Gah! People are so stupid sometimes.
 
OH YEAH!

I've got one right now that wants their hatching eggs shipping to ARRIVE by this coming Monday, but I'm still 2 eggs short. And it's Saturday. I just told them "I will try, but no guarantees" and went into detail about how many birds I have, how often they lay, etc.

That may have been my fault for talking about my own incubator mishap yesterday where it hit 115 degrees... and then fried itself immediately afterwards so it doesn't work at all now!
 
This man doesn't understand that I cant make a hatch of 100 leghorns!!! I have four leghorns... given that they would take 25 days to lay all the eggs, the first eggs wouldn't be good for incubating! So I told him I could do 30 mixed breeds, now he wants 30 purebreds! God what doesn't this man understand? Plus, now he's trying to go ahead and pay for chicks that haven't even hatched!!
