So I candled last night (day 11) the 47 eggs I have left all look awesome. LT, all 13 of yours are going strong! What do you feed your birds? I've culled 11 of mine! Granted, 2 of those were infertile but still!
GAMarans, I meant to ask you yesterday, is the BLRW hen currently laying?
 
Um... I feed them... everything? No, literally. Everything. Leftover food from dinners, cooked pasta (yesterday), cooked rice (today), layer feed, scratch grains, cooked oatmeal (tomorrow), grass in the yard, neighbor brings them bread all the time, whatever bugs and creepy crawlies they find (skeeter LOVES slugs), plus the occasional accidental sytofoam or cardboard feed that they get from the trash trailer before it gets hauled off.
 
So from the sounds of it, I need to get an estimated value of the chicks that I have right now, plus however many add up until the next stage of action, and so forth in between each stage until it stops, or goes before a judge. Plus the amount of money that I spend on feed between now and the afore-mentioned action.

I'll let you all guess why. But let's just say that with over 50 chicks in the brooder right now, and MOST of those being Sumatras (which is the DIRECT link to lost revenue), someone is about to be hit with serious financial damages.

I'm done with this crap. It's NOT a game, and that's about to become apparent...

So you feed them about what I do. I don't give them scratch and I give them dumor grower/finisher. Hmmmm. Maybe I should switch back to layer.
 
I'm here! I was telling my hubby that I wanted to see if TSC had chicks yet and he told me I was crazy, we didn't need anymore chickens, I said you can never have enough! I have abt 40 Chickens in the backyard, 1 2mo old rooster in a pen, 7 blue and black Copper Marans chicks about a month old, and I have 28 eggs in the incubator! But yet I still want more LOL!

47 eggs in the bator, 8 silkies, 23 large fowl, 20babies in the brooder, 8 6wk olds on the barn plus I'm getting ameracuana eggs in a couple weeks. And I still want to buy chicks. What is wrong with me?

Nothing LOL! I feel the same! My husband said I needed to stay away from TSC! I said nope!!!!
