Bumping. Very important questions here guys.. MUY importante!!

Okay guys. I'm about to throw these eggs in. But I want to do everything right. Is it best to lay them on their sides? Or cut down a carton? And do I start with trays full or dry?

PLEASE remember, this is a STILL AIR bator, the reason I hesitate to use a tray is bc I know it's warmer up higher. Don't want to fry them!
 
The one that is out pipped early yesterday. The one last night hasn't done much since then. Nothing else from the others yet but based on when I set them, we're still a couple of days ahead of hatch date.
