BTW, what is your husband doing today? We're going to buy 900 feet of horse fence today. You should bring him over to help me unload it and I'll pay your for his services with whatever eggs are on the ground.

Talk to 'em really nicely and say "thank you"? It's the same as processing young birds for meat; withholding food is a personal preference. A full crop is easier to see and gives you something to hang on to when removing it, but makes a bigger mess if you accidentally break it. That's all I can think of.

Mine? He has softball "practice" with the guys today but I'm not sure what time. :) When will you be working?

Answering this without reading the rest of the thread -on purpose -because I'm increasing the suspense for myself (it's like Christmas!). Did she have them yet?!? And, I think we should have a round of coop building parties; that's the natural progression after all the egg swapping and chick buying right? Now we all could use more coops, so we have a starting point and go from there? I have a dream...
