This is LOLA, the little hahns I got during the ice storm. Poor little girl, she is still on antibiotics. She has a nasty crop infection but she is coming along nicely. I'm not sure yet if the mutilation she has done can be reversed yet.


This is Sweetie, what a hand full she was!!!I had her for over two yrs getting some very nasty habits fixed. She now lives in her forever home in Dallas.

Awww.... I really missed out on the cockatoo! They're my favorite birds!

Well, I got off of work after just one hour and 45 minutes. But at $16+ an hour, I ain't complaining!

In the meantime, I have my first PUREBRED silkie egg that seems like it's ready to hatch now. Just about every egg that was in the incubators when I lost power during the ice storm, died off. So this is the first of the eggs gathered during or after the power issues. He's made an internal pip, and I did the external pip assist hole. He's been making the occasional loud shriek-like chirp. Hopefully he'll hatch before the day is out. He'll be either black or white, but I can't wait to see which one of the two!

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I finally ordered two chicken diapers from Louise's Country Closet. So when I have chickens that need to come inside for injury or illness treatment, I don't have to worry about them making a mess! It's two sizes in the same pattern - orange flames.

Do you have popups blocked?

@Hagar3, nope, the pop ups are there, they just freeze up after I hit "submit". The only way to get out of it is to hit the "back" button on my browser several times -and lose the message I was working on. I can't tag anyone, insert photos, or use smilies in the desktop version. The mobile version on my phone works with the pop ups, but it's a pain because the window randomly jumps around in the middle of typing, and I have to Kerri scrolling back to my message, or the cursor hops around and I type in the middle of quoted text -then accidentally erase half of it trying to reposition the cursor. I wish I knew more about website coding, then I'd have helpful suggestions for solutions, but I can only offer feedback.
