I always wanted enough land to do some light farming. I haven't got the land yet, but I figured 3/4 of an acre could hold a few chickens. Mainly I need to stay busy and this is just one thing I thought would be cool. I can sell the eggs to coworkers and have a few lower maintenance pets that contribute more than just pooping in the yard and licking me in the face.

We have rabbits, chickens, ducks and turkeys on 2acres.

Lol. Ever been to Nahunta? Talk about small town. I kinda liked it down there though

I was responding to a comment about him never being able to wait always in a hurry. Nothing negative meant. I have a house full of them. I call them Grand children.

I don't know about that. A friend of mine lives in Brantley County and she says there's a huge drug issue down there.

There is a picture of my coop.

I put a hardware cloth bottom in it. The protruding thing under the coop is a drawer I made to catch the poop as it falls down through the hardware cloth. Hopefully it works.

Make sure there's plenty of ventilation. Summer is brutal! Other than that, I got nothin'
