hows Lt today?
First, the curled toe. Her mother likely had a vitamin-B deficiency when her egg was created. So the chick developed curled toes.Do y'all remember me telling you how I had one chick that was smaller than the others? I am pretty sure she is a speckled sussex(my free chick). Well my kids and I are giving the chicks some one on one time tonight and she seems pretty lethargic(sleeping more than the others) and I noticed her feet don't grip and seem to be weak and deformed. What if anything should I do? She does eat and drink. She also walks but seems to squat down all the time.
Here is a pic of her and then a pic of her sister(same breed) and her. Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions?

Here is the weird part about Ameraucanas. Even if you have two pure Ameraucanas and one is one color (like Wheaten) and the other one is another 'approved standard' color, and they breed together, your chicks would be considered Easter Eggers because they would no longer "breed true" to their 'approved standard' color. They would be a mix (of color) and no longer considered an Ameraucana! This is a HUGE issue on the "Ameraucana" thread on the BYC. So if you want pure Ameraucanas, both parents would have to come from the same color of Ameraucana.Easter eggers. Ameraucanas will lay ONLY blue eggs, although in varying shades. Easter eggers can lay green because the blue crossed with BROWN, gives green (yeah, ignore that color wheel you learned in school). That means they are mixed breed, and thus considered easter eggers.
Welcome!Conyers! 45 minutes east of Atlanta
