YO GEORGIANS! :)

Its was pretty easy for me a little tiral and error here and there. I started out with one light and fan and no jars. But it stays outside in the shed and on my test run the temp droped overnight. Now has 2 bulbs and fans and added jars to hold some heat. Chicken wire on bottom if I need to pour some water for humidity.

More to hold the warmth and take up space, when the little blue bowl gets low I use some water from the jars.
OK that is ingenious!!!! Is this your first time to hatch eggs?? I really don't have a clue on how to do it, but it amazes me how everyone hatches out babies!! Love, love, love the babies!!

Ah, ok.
I'm thinking about raiding my sister's barn to find out where my nephews threw my old computer case. I'm going to take all of the 80mm fans out of it, and install them in my LG's to make "forced air incubators".

I noticed a lot of the eggs I'm losing in the last incubator, are probably coming from temperature drops when I take them out of the trays. It's a good five full degrees lower on the wire than it is up in the tray!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think we're all just stuck in a snow globe and some JERK just keeps shaking it?

I know what you mean! I have had crazy thoughts like "What if this never ends? What if it stays winter forever????" at times! I am so tired of this awful cold!

Chicks got moved to their coop for 1 night and then I had to bring them back in at night as it is just too darn cold out there. Ugh.

Ugggg, took my new meds yesterday. Its a once a week kind of thing. didn't make me AS sick, but still sick. Cant they figure out meds that don't make you feel worse than you started out with.
Yesterday was wonderful. I really enjoyed seeing my son at lunch, then he surprised me by coming over after work and staying for dinner.

My oldest son lives in Reno, so I haven't seen him in over three yrs. My daughter is home, but btw college and work, I rarely see her. My youngest son is going to UGA and working, so its hard for him to get out here.

LOL I tried to get him and his dad to go fetch the eggs for me while I cooked dinner and neither one of them could do it. "it just came out of a chickens butt"!!!!

, he is going to repair the roof were a few shingles blew off from the last repair...... then help me finish up the garden. Shouldn't take to long. Hopefully, next week I can head out to Roboduck's place to help him with some stuff. Don't worry Robo, I haven't forgot. Im sorry but I wasn't counting on the new meds kicking my butt. Im going to put off the solar panel til next month, I need at least a week of sunshine. I hate being rushed and that project isn't a must do, its an I want it kind of thing. I will touch base with you this weekend to set up a time I can come up there and help ya, that is if you haven't found someone else to do it because I have taken to long...

Was this the cuckoo silkies you had mentioned before?

Yep. I bought 6 porcelain and 6 cuckoo eggs. The lady sent only 3 cuckoos, 9 porcelain, and 2 paints. Her "corrected order eggs" arrived yesterday...1 cuckoo and 11 porcelains. Out of the original eggs, 2 porcelains are developing so my only hope left for a cuckoo is the 1 little egg at abmaddox's house.

How old are your chicks??? I converted my greenhouse back porch into a brooder for the chicks and duckies. my chicks are about a month old. My DH is always asking, when are they going outside.... LOL

They are about 6-7 weeks. I know others wouldn't worry about the cold at this age but I just don't like to see them out there when it is this cold and even below freezing! They are still new to their coop and haven't established where to sleep at night.

It will be in the 50's tonight and tomorrow so they can go back out now.
