The people on the brahma thread said they will never be show quality and almost called them ugly. They are my first chickens and they are pretty cool looking to me.

I bought 11 pullets and 2 roos for $30. Best money ive ever spent. Gave 4 pullets to my mom in law. Got them from a guy close to dothan al. They are all happy and healthy so far. The breeder sells chicks all along. Also hatching eggs.

thank u very much. We love em. They follow my 4 yr old everywhere (free ranging in the yard). The roos are almost as big as him but are so loving and gentle. 1 of my roos has finally got his crow down pat. The smaller 1 sounds like a cat caught in a blender.
 
Those pics are a couple months old. They are alot bigger now. 1 of my roos can stretch his neck out and peck at my door knob. I had no idea they got so big. I made the coop and they keep growing. So to keep from overcrowding i gave maw in law a few and built her a coop

Have you had other breeds as well to compare these to? I can't wait to have some, I hear great things about them. :)

Any eggs from your girls yet? I do hear they are a little slow to mature..
