Hello chickdancer maybe this design might be one you would be interested in I've been to this mans house and seen how he he built his pens he has about ten pens all linked together they are about 30 foot long and about 5 foot wide they are connected to his barn on the left side of the pen and the door is on the right side of the pen

Those are Ameraucaunas? I think the first one looks like a roo, the others, particularly the 3rd looks like my little pullet. Hard to describe but her comb is kind of bumpy and I sweated whether she might be a roo too however the little roo's is much brighter and larger and his rows are very obvious.
 
Hey all! I've been gone for about 5 days.. At least that is how many days of catch up I had to do! :)

My kids were on spring break this week, but our tenants were evicted from our house in New Jersey... We found out from my Inlaws that the house was disgusting so we left Wednesday night and drove the 12 hours to NJ for the weekend.

I didn't want our 6 week old girls in the house for the weekend in the brooder(super dusty and stinky locked in the house for 4 days) so we converted a huge dog house on our property to a grow out pen. Made a run with pallets( 1/2" hardware cloth on the sides and chicken wire on top). They love it out there. My family came to feed them while we were gone and nothing bothered them. Thank goodness! I hope to start working on their big coop soon!

Well the house in NJ was nasty! I swear I don't know how people live that way.. Let alone leave a house so gross. Talked to some neighbors and they were breeding rabbits in the master bedroom!!!' RABBITS!!! The hardwood floors that are original to the house are ruined. There were latches on the outsides of the bedroom bathroom doors, a new kitchen was installed before they moved in and they ripped one cabinet from the wall. Oh yeah and the one room of carpet... Horribly stained and soaking wet! We have no clue how or where water could have gotten to the carpet. And they broke the AC by stepping on the coolant line last year and never fixed it. Moisture got in the system and now we have to replace the entire AC unit. The list goes on and on. Looks like we will have to file a civil suit to recoup all the money they owe from the back rent and damages/cleaning fees.

We also are putting the house on the market and can't even list it for what we need to pay off the mortgage and realtor fees, so it looks like it will be a short sale. I'm really upset about it. 3 years of tenants to do the right thing and continue to pay they mortgage and it comes down to what we wanted to avoid..

That sums up my week. Oh and forgive any misspellings... I also broke my iPhone screen!

Yay! Sonya you just made my day! I really need some hope that I don't have three boys. They are Ameraucanas. The first one's comb just popped up one day. The third one has had that comb for a while. Hoping that means possible pullet. Thanks for your input!!
