So the outdoor brooder babies will be headed out today and the bathroom brooder chicks are headed to the outdoor brooder before the geese drown them. Gah what a mess!

well, the freeze only had an effect on my garden  Hopefully it hasn't killed off everything I worked so hard to get in. I still need to plant the peppers and beans. Maybe this was the last freeze, but ya never know

I'm in the same boat. Mr. Zoo was determined to plant, and the peppers and onions are fine, but the tomatoes were a loss. Last year's asparagus is going strong though, so that's a plus. Oh, and because he wouldn't clear dead stuff out before tilling, we have one lonely corn stalk in a random spot.

I thought I would post a few pics of our coop now that we've finally finished it.

Yes, that is a chicken picture and yes, I've been told I'm a little crazy.

We've still got to build their nesting boxes but we're taking a little breather.

Yeah, I am also filling a 40 ft by 8 ft coop with a 45x40 run though, lol

This is my little wheel-less chicken tractor my hubby built for me. Light enough that I just drag it around the yard lol. And with the windows I can look for snakes before I reach in
