Well with the game cameras I put inside our chicken yard, I finally have photographic evidence of what has been killing our birds. A raccoon. And he will die as soon as I catch him.

They are loving being outside. The other two hens are having a fit over the grass. What kind of antibiotics should I get her and should I lance her feet myself? It is probably bumblefoot. It is caused by her living in a cage with a wire floor. It is a bacterial infection. You can lance any areas that have pus in them and use an antiseptic on her feet. She may need antibiotics. These chickens have never walked in grass or been free. I'm glad you have her.
I'm telling you guys that Sevins Dust works within minutes! I wouldn't do without it! Sprinkle it in the coop and all over your chickens! It's so easy and works! I've only had mites once, but it did the trick! Also, I add drops of dog flea, tick, mites and lice drops on the chickens necks. Buy the largest size (comes in three tubes) because all the sizes cost the same. I put the stuff in a container and with a dropper, I just add 3 drops to the back of LF, and 2 to smaller chickens. Keeps all that stuff away,Evening everyone. Been helping friends move and just got home.. Whew! Lots of work and I hated to leave when I did.. Haha. Hope y'all are all good.
I put my yunguns in the run with my layers today. I'm not sure I'm real happy with the combo but they were just needing out of the cages they were in. There was plenty of sparring but nothing over the top that I saw. Of course, I remembered AFTER the move, wait they still need their starter grower.. So I put a couple chick feeders with their food in there as well as a separate waterer.
Got home and the ladies were in the coop.. Babies are huddled together at the door but I didn't even fool with them. Feeders were toppled, lol. Looks like a fun time was had by all.
I still am fighting mites on my girls, but like I said the babies just needed room. I guess I'm just gonna break down and get the medicated powder from TSC instead of my DE. It seems to be decreasing them but is just not finishing the job.![]()
So. DO YOU have to toss eggs when you use that stuff??
Okay. Hubby says he has some and I'm gonna do it! But the egg part- can I still eat them same day? Thanks!!I'm telling you guys that Sevins Dust works within minutes! I wouldn't do without it!
