YO GEORGIANS! :)

Oh man, I am sooooo upset!  Went down to turn on the broody light to warm up for my new chicks.  Came back and noticed my little NN wasn't moving.  Somehow it had gotten it's head stuck in part of the incubator and died!  This little mini is so small, the chicks heads almost brush the top of the unit where all the gears, heat, etc are!  It was the first little NN that was hatched!  The second chick was from the same Mom but not a NN.  One more from that mom is hatching.  Ugh!  This is the second NN that I have lost in freaky accident situations!  I do not like this little Mini and will be glad when my big unit comes!  So sad for little baby.

That is heart breaking. :( I am so sorry to hear about your poor chicks.

I'm sorry about the mishap and the loss of chicks. Things will get better.

Becky what incubator are you getting? I know you've said but I can't remember. No surprise there.

(Haha Robo, beat u to it.)

I'm getting another HovaBator Genesis 1588. I love the one I have, but I needed a second one for being able to do staggered hatches, Thought the little mini would be good, but just too small.

Here are my two survivors!

Both had the same mom and dad. One is NN and the other is considered an EE. Both, if females, will lay colored eggs. Came from beautiful blue eggs. Dad's eggs are super light brown. They will look better tomorrow when they dry up more.

They are beautiful!! Love them.

CarCar, so glad you got your Brahmas! Send pictures! Got a good photo of my big Brahma Roo, Beau.

He's about 7 months old now and still doesn't have all his 'man' feathers! He is double the size of my other rooster! Can't tell from this photo, but he's got great 'pants'!!!

GAchickennewbie, yes, I sold Hulk Hogan within two hours of listing him! The man drove about an hour to get him. He loved him! You should hear it over here.....hahahha.....so much quieter without him. He was our loud one! And the hens are so much more relaxed without his trickery! But, I did like him a lot. And, the man was impressed how easy it was for me to handle him (and pet him and love on him) LOL

Pretty boy. :) Didn't you say he came from Papa? Do you plan to keep him? I'd love to see how his color turns out. He's got a lot lf bleed right now, but I never know what will mature out and what won't. My blue partridge roo I have right now was pretty clean from the get-go.
