maybe i'm just not a nice person, but I'm going to have a rooster, and if the neighbors don't like him crowing whenever he wants, oh well too bad for them. They sure don't care if their dog barking all hours of the night keeps me awake

You make a valid point, but I did ask my neighbors before I got them would it bother them if I got a rooster and they said no but they are not really close to me and I'm so far out in the country and their cows going into heat make more noise than my roos, but I have several and it's nice to hear the battle of the crowing, I have one poor thing sounds like he needs a throat lozenges.

now I hope mine do something I pulled out the bad ones and the infertile ones this is my first time hatching shipped eggs. They go into lock down on wednesday

63% humidity? That may be the problem. But if today is just day 21 you may still get some action.

What humidity and temp do you like for lock downs? My temp has been between 55 and 65.My humidity has been anywhere from 58 to 70 on my digital temp gauge I placed inside on the screen bottom (hova-bator) with the built in temp gauge saying anywhere from 48 to 65. I've had to help 2 chicks out that were shrink wrapped. I don't know why the humidity is swinging that wide unless it's because of the rainy condition we've had all day. I still have about 15 eggs to hatch. I'm only on day 18. I know that bantams will hatch earlier but not sure why the others started so early. So far I have 2 Gamefowl, 2 d'uccle and 1 Australorp.

Ok, peeps, be on the lookout for guinea hatching eggs for me. We need some and I can't find any near me. There are some for a good price on BST thread but they're in Colorado. Surely there are some here in Georgia.

OOOOOOOO I have a baby and you can hear another calling from inside an egg now and then. My wee little Mottled Cochen bantams are taking the full time to hatch.

I am at day 21 with my BCM eggs and I only have a crack not even a full pip but I do hear cheeping coming from one and I have lots of shakers! So today may actually be the day.

2 BCM eggs have hatched! I missed it because I was in class. My husband had to call me to tell me. I have one that pipped early this morning that still has done anything. So......I'm getting worried.
