We don't know many of our neighbors well, yet. Just the few that share the easement with our property. From what I hear, she's the resident busybody. I was polite and embarrassed the first time, my parents raised me to respect my elders. But, since she made a bigger deal than necessary, was rude as hell, layed a guilt trip on me and lied and gave me a phony name of "the neighbor behind" our house(who we were allegedly also bothering), I am lying in wait for the next time she shows her face on my property. All bets are off. I have zero tolerance for liars, drama queens and just stupid people in general. If she'd have been respectful and honest, I'd leave it alone. I'm a Long Island girl to the core and I'm pretty sure what comes out of my mouth will make her ears bleed. Ain't nobody got time for beating around the bush. I'm too much like my daddy to let her pull that crap on me again. From what I hear, it's only a matter of time. Right now, she's bothering someone else. I guess that's how she keeps busy.

You should've seen it. She was standing in my driveway behind her car screaming, when he started firing off the next set of rounds. He thought it was me and was yelling at me that he told me he was set to go and to quit screaming. I finally figured out it was someone in the yard, I assumed the Jehova's Witnesses, so I started laughing and giggling. Loudly. Then I heard her yell something at us so I decided to go investigate.

I missed something here, neighbors mad at you for target practice?
 
I'm up to speed now, I sure would like to meet you in person lol you go girl, and tell her it's the country get a life, I think I'd tell my DH he needs extra practice cause he missed the leaf at the 300 yards mark lol

We had a neighbor 2 summers ago, come to the house and go off on me because my husband was shooting his gun. We shoot on the property occasionally. We're on 7 acres and pretty much everyone on the street does. Properties are large enough around here and there are lots of places where people go deer hunting. Apparently she thought it was the neighbor behind us(who's about 1/4 mile from her house, through the woods behind our property). She's always gunning for him and just assumed that's who it was. She woke him up, he's a firefighter, who also shoots regularly. And hunts. She lit into him about her horses being startled and he told her he was asleep and didn't notice anything. She then came to our house, lied and told me the HE was also ****** at us because we woke him and that she had a heart condition. Maybe that's true, but man, I hate when folks make crap up to make you feel guilty. She even gave me a phony name, so I thought it was an entirely different neighbor that we didn't know of. I was horrified because I thought this unknown neighbor was already irritated with us and we hadn't even met him yet. LOL

I know! This woman has lived on this road for ages. She KNOWS she's in the country. Her husband went out and pulled a gun on the fireman a couple years back because he was on the adjacent property to theirs hunting. which is NOT uncommon. Told him it was their property and tried to scare him, but everybody knows who they are and that he was completely full of it. They're just crazy I guess.
