ok the little "L" shaped thing is called a framing square. Handy to have, but not the easiest way to actually square something.Yes. New tricks are always welcome. I never did check to see if it was square. I'm assuming it's not. I have one of those L shaped ruler things(don"t know what it's called) but I've never actually used one before. The legs looked a little wonky to me but that sucker ain't going anywhere. I made the mistake of using 5" lag bolts, instead of 3 1/2". And no driver either. Hand cranked every one of those darn things with a ratchet. thirty two of them. I'll be doing makeup all day tomorrow with my left hand all bruised.
But at least now when I wave at folks, the backs of my arms won"t wave, too!![]()
And yeah, it is a bit weird with the chicken. I remember a couple of weeks ago, sitting by the brooder talking to them with a chick-fil-a in my hand. I kinda felt bad for a few minutes. LOL
so you're a 70 model uh.......... just told us your agecan someone tell me a little about tractors? My DH's Lieutenant is selling an old Power King 2414. With a mower, a couple of other things and a trailer. DH is going to look at it on Sunday with my brother who is a welder(he mostly builds motorcycles & used to work building fire trucks). Something about the mower might need some kind of modification or other. Brother is going to see if it is something that he can do or not. I am assuming the tractor is almost as old as me? 1970s model, maybe?
Yowza i gave my barred turken away for free and he looked 10x better.

Easiest way, and you can still do it if you'll secure one side at one end. The diagonal lines from corner of one long side to the corner of the other long side, should be the same length. think of it like drawing an X in the box. for a rectangle, like you have, and it's easiest to do this in inches......measure a long side, then multiply that number times itself. now do the same for a short side, measure and multiply times itself. Now add both of those numbers together. Since you have an Iphone, ask SIRI what the square root of the sum is. that is the length your diagonal lines should be......
now if you have secured on end on one side, move the OTHER end back and forth until both of the lines in the X are the same number, and voila, you're square! Siri helps me with a lot of stuff........![]()

as for the tractor info, go to tractordata.com. I'm thinking power king is in the garden/lawn tractor category, just click that and scroll till you find it. I love that site, it will tell you all the pertinent info......
Still interim. I've got a lot to learn before i want my own building. I will say i want to start smaller. I'd love to find a 1-3mil store somewhere in the mountains and just put in good solid 6 day weeks. This 5mil store is just a little too much for a novice like myself.I'll just smile and nod... I don't see a lick of difference in them.
So are you the new manager at McDonough yet?
