So I checked Ma again after dark.. Baby is still with her. I had blocked the others out of the coop.. (The pretty olive I got from Flower had somehow made her way in but she's not a worry)..

Put some food and water in with them and candled the remaining egg. It was scrambled inside.. Air cell was detached and all. So I think the others just messed with baby and eggs all day.. And maybe a snake got the other?? NO idea. MAYBE I only gave her three anyway! Seriously.. I can NOT remember what I gave her.

If she keeps that one alive tomorrow, I'll take a few more from today's hatch and give them to her.

Well. I just experienced the first death of a chick. It kinda sucks. I came inside to check on the new additions around 8:45 and Vesper, my SLW had croaked. I had last looked in on them at 6. All seemed fine. I have no idea why. Glad I didn't have time to get attached yet. That would've proven disastrous.
