wow They are only four weeks old its way to soon to mix them I better look for another way to hold the little buggers .Thank You^^ what she said ^^ I have great luck adding them in with my Brahmas much earlier (like 6-8 weeks of age for LF) because the pen is large and the Brahmas are extremely mild mannered, plus having my younger flock of AM in there as well helps spread the love, so to speak.
I have other birds I would NEVER put little ones in with but this works for me.
Until my TSC has a fluke and doesn't have an emergency bag of hog feed one week then when I'm TOTALLY out of chicken feed they have no Flockraiser until 3 more days!I'm with you. My rooster, duck, adults, juveniles, laying hens and chicks all eat Purina Flock Raiser with oyster shell on the side. It's so much easier buying one bag of food instead of 3.
My dog is under going a training session right now. He killed my best rooster this morning while we were gone from the house.

iglad you were able to find your dog a new gome *am so sorry about the list of your rooster been there i know first hand how upsetting this can be *we just found our dog a new home.
I am not sure how my bulldog Lucy is going to do with the chickens yet ,she walked up on one put her paw over the bird and held it to the ground she didn't bite it just held it there we yelled at her and they both ran off I love that dog so I sure hope everyone will get along but she won't be trusted alone with the chickens that is for sure . It is hard to part with pets I hope you do ok with it .we just found our dog a new home
I took the Dora band-aid off Chicklets leg today it is all healed up so back to the others she went ,while I was working on her and her vent was right there I decided to see if I could find the pimple that is to be there if is a boy NO PIMPLE I think its a she yeeehaw .If it turns out to be a he I am not getting rid of him any how we all have bonded with the little bugger . I moved half the chicks to another brooder box things were getting ruff in one so it was perfect timing to put Chicklet back with the others everyone is happy .
