they won't start laying till around 20 weeks. If they're pretty much using the roost now, I'd go ahead and set up the boxes, put some fake eggs or golf balls in and let them explore.....

yeah they put themselves to bed every night lol. I'm going to do some work on the coop this weekend, got a lot that needs doing.

Yeah, I've never had one lay that young! Mine were usually around 30 - 35 weeks. And then there was the Silkie who didn't lay until she was 50 weeks old! Yes, that is two weeks shy of a year! And then she laid for 2 weeks, went broody, hatched eggs and then got killed by the bear!
