I got 2 today myself! another one finally paying rent! I gathered 7 eggs today from 9 hens! I just wish one more of the white ones had actually been a leghorn....


isn't this a pretty dozen!



oh, and let me know ahead of time if you're gonna fire up the bator, I may bring a mix over and see what kind of OE's I'll get from these brown egg layers and the AM rooster

Here is an update on the Avian Flu. Apparently it is too hot in GA right now for us to have any problems, but come fall, we may be in for trouble. I am worried because we have a lake and get lots of migratory geese, ospreys, and other waterfowl. They are the worst that will carry the Avian Flu. My ducks go to the lake every day and then house with chickens. Ugh! It will be a worry!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

I posted the same pics on my facebook. My wifes poor dumb sister in law is baffled at why I won't keep these until next easter! I swear, she asked me "don't you have a freezer".........She's not comprehending that I'll have more eggs. I don't know if she thinks the blue ones are a fluke or what, but I really don't like her and I'm gonna have to troll her over this bahahahaha

I wouldn't want her to touch them. If I described her accurately, I'd be banned. so in a PC kinda way, one of the dumbest, most self centered, selfish, narcissistic, low class, I'm better than you and you need not even try to get to my level, with a capital B people you would ever meet.


that's the sugar coated version, actually that's about a tenth of the sugar coated version, and just typing that makes me feel the need to go soak my hands in bleach for the next half hour
