Well, Papa, I just went out to look at the three marked eggs under my broody and there were 6 eggs under her and not one had the heart mark (in red marker) on them! Go figure that one!

Do hawks eat full grown chickens? I had two white leghorns, but today I missed one on my daily count and then I found about a dozen feathers in one area. It was near a road and right around where they usually range. Thanks-

Yes they will take a full size bird with no problem.

yeah if you get caught killing a hawk, it's a very hefty fine........they are protected as are all raptors.
