I'm letting the mama take the chicks out into the divided section of the run. These little buggars are escape artists! Yesterday, they found a place the interior fence was loose enough to get out, but couldn't get back in.
today, mama has dug a hole big enough along the edge they were going under the frame work, I had to take some blocks in to line the frame work, LOL
so while I'm taking blocks in, I turn to go back out, and the sneaky rooster is about to jump, he'd eased up behind me and just as he jumped I turned around.....he got me on the front of my kicking leg, not a good choice on his part. But, he actually got up and came at me again, so the second time I kicked, I made sure to land a good one. Suffice it to say he doesn't want any of me for now.....LOL
