YO GEORGIANS! :)

so anyone else notice the name change? maybe trying to hide to avoid a ban? as someone who has a good history hatching, I'm glad you clarified the hatch rate.

I couldn't argue that point because I haven't done any incubating, or 'batoning' yet ;) I just love when someone starts digging a hole and in trying to get out of it just wind up going deeper in

I did notice the name change, too.

You know, we're all human and make mistakes (shut up, Robo). Just a shame to not be able to handle it better.

Merry Christmas, Papa!!

And Merry Christmas to the rest of the GA Chicken Nuts.

I have know people to have worst in the hatching process she says her baton acted up and temperatures jumped to high consider baton acting up it still a fair ratio maybe not the best but not the worst either and it was a fair test run for me to see if fertility was produced as my concern was I wanted to know these issue's before I was selling hatching eggs and she wanted eggs from my hens and roosters so we traded her honey for my eggs sometime even in trying in the best conditions things can go wrong.

But you said it was pretty good and it wasn't ... and you said something about how you could tell with 98% accuracy on the fertility, or something like that.  Not a chance in this life or any other that I would sell hatching eggs without a better hatch rate first.  I assume "baton" means incubator.  I would run another hatch, ensuring the incubator was working properly and see how that goes before I would sell "hatching eggs" to anyone.

Maybe sell them at a lower price and be clear on the earlier results but you're setting yourself and any potential customers up for a bad experience right now ... in my opinion.
I agree on running another hatch test run with another incubator and then see what happens as far a selling them at a lower price that already what I am doing 15dollar a dozen instead of 25dollars a dozen

Wishing all at joyful, happy and blessed  Merry Christmas  Hope all and everyone is safe, and dry with this torrential rain we are getting. I for one know my run is starting to experience some small lakes forming, but the hens are still dry.
yes ma'am thank you and I wish you and family and fowl a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A SAFE HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I HOPE I WASNT OUT OF THE WAY BY DAYING YES MA'AM!

GAM was getting a puppy for Christmas. Was supposed to pick it up last night and bring it home tonight. But now the seller won't return calls or texts so no puppy for GAM. Why are people such turds?
gosh I'm so sorry that happened maybe something just went or something happened at the last minute wrong and she couldn't return your calls Gosh so sorry such a bummer.

Merry Christmas everyone!! I'm exhausted. Had two Christmases today, lol. Gotta rest up for tomorrow! My poor birds' runs are mud soup. So ready for it to dry out! :(

Now just because you had two Christmases today don't get greedy lol, and my girls know too much about mud soup, Oh news flash I was wondering why my egg production just took a major dive, I did figure because of the change in seasons, but guess what I found, a broody and she is sitting on a big clutch of eggs, I looked all through the coops for eggs and still don't know how I missed them, unless she covered them up when she would leave, but there she was sitting there looking like a mad hen when I disturbed her, so letting her hatch them since I don't know how far along they are. but I told her since she has been stealing eggs she better have a few olives in the bunch.
