YO GEORGIANS! :)

we never wash ours either

I don't wash them if they are clean. I got one that just started laying and it has blood on it. My oldest group will not lay in their new laying box, they would rather lay them in the mud and roll them around. But the cleans ones, I just put them in the fridge. LOL My wife says, "Did you wash these eggs" I say, YEP! I did was some so its true! HAHA!

.Just kidden. Most of mine are dirty so I wash them. The only ones I get that are clean are my 2 bantam eggs. I put that laying box in there and the bantams started using it the same day. Not the big chickens, they lay under it or anywhere but in it. I forgot who mentioned one having a turd on it but I about fell in the floor laughing, not sure why. HAHA!

I worked in Corp Marketing for Shaw Contract Group for many years. People were amazed that I had over 200 chickens. I had someone say to me once: "You don't look like someone that would own chickens." I said, " What do you think people with chickens should look like?"

Everyone with chickens knows it is like a drug. I had two with my goat and my hen kept going broody. I found a breeder in Cartersville and he gave me a dozen eggs. She hatched 10 and it all started there. A year later I had 200. I sold out and moved to a subdivision and still got calls for a few years of people asking chicken questions and asking me to find them certain breeds. I decided I would get more and hatched 100 and kept 40 and sold down to 23. Still want more. LOL

so lets see, you have the seller swearing it's one thing, and the official breeders page saying something else. Nah, a seller wouldn't misrepresent something

and in my best Forrest Gump voice, "that's all I'm gonna say about that"

as for the pain, I do hope it gets better for you. Yeah, gabapentin is supposed to be pretty good stuff. I've never had it though so I can't attest to it. I do know that there is no point ever in any day that I am not in some level of pain. Lord help me on days I over do things (which doesn't take much).

BAHAHAHA!

Yeah, I called and emailed them and said, not only did you ship a rooster, but you shipped one that has no muffs or beard. They BS'd me forever! They are supposed to be some highend seller or so called hatchery. Not worth $17 at all!

As for the pain, my aunt said, your getting old and all I can say is, it doesn't get better, only gets worse. I said, "You should be a motivational speaker."

Does your EE Roo have green or slate legs? I can't really tell in the picture.

Day 19. Just took out the turner and candled one last time.
Out of the original 41 eggs, 38 were fertile.
I do not have a strong enough light to really see inside, but all 38 have decent sized air cells, but one seems to have a clear spot at the bottom as well.

Can't wait to see what happens over the next couple days!

Gam, how many did you have hatch total?

Anyone close to Atlanta have some hatching eggs I can buy? Breed doesn't matter, I'm using them to test a broody and see if she can hatch or not and plan on selling or giving the chicks away. I'd only need say, 4 standard or 6bantam? I don't know if a little silky can sit on many more than that

(I don't mind driving a little ways for them, just not like 4 hours. :) )
