Well here is one of the problems ... since I have the oh so amazing cabinet incubator, I don't do lockdown. So for me, I would be looking for any signs of internal "bulging" or actual internal pipping. With a basic incubator you may have issues with temp/humidity if you are in and out that close to hatch but for me it all comes down to getting them off the turners and into the hatch tray before they pip.ok, oh wise one, now explain thatfor those who might not know how and/or what to look for![]()
Ideally 1 or 2 young ducklings. I may get one or two chicks to raise it with in the brooder so they will all be sociable as adults.Give me a little while and I should have eggs.
Or would you prefer an adult pair? (Muscovy)
I'm going to see how things go with this 'off the shelf' basic one I have. If I can sell enough chicks by late spring, I'm either going to buy or build a cabinet model. I'd really like to get a good look at a couple of cabinets....Well here is one of the problems ... since I have the oh so amazing cabinet incubator, I don't do lockdown. I love my GQF Sportsman but I imagine a wine fridge would be about as perfect as you could ask for when building your own.I'm going to see how things go with this 'off the shelf' basic one I have. I'd really like to find an old worn out small size drink cooler. Already insulated, glass door, could take out the compressor and all the other workings and use that space for all the bator workings. If I could only find one.....
you won't, they're tougher than you think. Just don't keep them out any longer than absolutely necessaryOk I am new at this so I hope I don't kill the little buggers thanks for your help .
Please do let me know. I may have to cave and grab a few.If anyone else wants to get in on this. I can pick some fluffy butts up for you.
