YO GEORGIANS! :)

If all goes well, Yup!
These are the bottles I make, you'll have to figure out hanging as far as what works for you, I used an old wire hanger. I'm trying to figure out something better though, and when I do that will be included with the waterers.

These are the buckets I'll be using. They'll have 4 nipples in the bottom, and I used an L-hook plant hanger to hang mine in my coop.

Lids are included, but not pictured.

I was thinking $5 for the bottles, $20 for the buckets? I think I have enough supplies to make 4 of each, if anyone else wants any.

You can get buckets for free to @ $ 5.00 from Wal-Mart, Ingles or Public, Icing buckets with lids and Amazon has ten nipples for @ $ 8.00. If you don't want the nipples in the bottom, then use a 3/4 inch bulkhead fitting on the bottom side of the bucket, and then use 3/4 inch PVC pipe. For the nipples used slip x thread tees and then used 3/4 threaded plugs drilled for the nipples to screw into and then screw them into the tee's. Another easy way if you want to flush out your PVC lines.

I've been getting the frosting buckets from the Walmart here for a while. Someone recently said that the closest walmart to her charges for them? Ours gives them away. The down side to your suggestion is the bulkhead is expensive! the one I bought when I made my barrel system was $13 at the big orange box store. I'm going to play around with a thread pvc fitting and see if I can just drill a hold in a bucket and screw it in with some silicone sealant, would be much less expensive.

I did find some barrels that had a fitting in the top you could screw out, the size of a 3/4 PVC fitting, but the ones he had that day were all busted and wouldn't hold water. I'd love to find a couple of those to use for sure!

$5-$20 is what I was thinking of charging, or at least that's what most people seem to be charging. I got the buckets cheap and ordered the nipples online pretty cheap, too. :) I've made a couple for my own birds already, too and they seem to work great!

Another way, but a little more expensive is to buy a igloo cooler, I purchased the two gallon size from Wal-Mart and then order a Bright-Tap Watered. You screw out the fitting on the igloo cooler and then install the bright tap watered. You can use any cooler that you can thread out the fitting to install the Bright -Tap. One advantage is the cooler is already insulated, cooler water in summer and less freezing in winter. Disadvantage - Cost
