YO GEORGIANS! :)

I have a question for those of you who get green eggs from your OE, is the shell blue inside? since it's blue with the brown put on top, blue inside, right?

Check out this egg I got today. I think it came from the delawares , but I was in a hurry and didn't realize how big it was until I was back inside.

On the hatch along thread, someone lost their coop and most of their chickens due to a fire, a heat lamp is to blame and they had an emergency switch but the fireman said it went up too fast for the safety to work, Check your heat sources,

well I was talking about one that's pipped, but then quits for several hours. I get the internal pip thing, I was just thinking more along the lines of helping one that's already started and stops
I help anything that looks like it needs it.

Hey everyone, I have had radio silence for about a year on my end. I don't even think any of you remember me. That's ok... I'm near Atlanta with about 12 hens and a rooster. Does anyone know where I might find started pullets...I can't do chicks right now. Preferably vaccinated for Mareks and not over 2 hours from Atlanta. I may be asking too much here, but if anyone knows where to find healthy birds, I know it's this group! Thx!

I remember you.

I couldn't part with my hens, but if they want a roo for free, i'll donate one of choice. Looks like we have 3-4 different breed of roosters.

Orpheus Brewing is looking for farmers interested in picking up large quantities of spent grain.

Spent grain is an excellent resource for any farm; it is happily eaten by chicken, cattle, pigs, and goats. Spent grain is also rich in nitrates and sulfates, making it an excellent fertilizer when composted. More information on the uses for spent grain, both agricultural and other, can be found here:
http://www.craftbeer.com/craft-beer-muses/sustainable-uses-of-spent-grain

The grain is available free of charge in 55-gallon drums, weighing somewhere between 300-400 pounds each. We ask that farmers pick the grain up from our brewery, located at 1440 Dutch Valley Pl, Atlanta, GA, 30324.
