oh it wasn't at the zoo.............. I mean I was just a kid, that guy down the road didn't say he'd started raising peafowl, pheasant season and a kid with a new shotgun.......I mean I don't know what all the fuss was about, darn thing didn't even taste all that great anyway

Day 19 and coming out of the turner this morning. My shipped eggs started out great and then started quitting. I think they had some really hard jolts as the air pockets are torn into irregular patterns, like down both sides of the egg. Most were fertile and started but turned into the death ring.

My official count is 21 out of 22 very happy with that hatch

The one time I dropped some money on shipped eggs I had a horrible hatch and I have never bought anymore that have to be shipped, but Carcar and Flowerbh have good luck with them, sorry for your hatch. but the PO is just so mean to eggs.

We hatch hundreds of shipped eggs. Some good hatch rates... Some not as good.

ok the one chick I lost was a dark egg. I opened it up and the chick was fully formed but a lot of liquid in it and it didn't start to absorb the yolk so any ideas why? Temp was right at 100 the whole time and humidity before lock down was about 55 and lock down I upped it to 75 but out of 22 eggs 21 hatched, any ideas?

Well... One day of my beloved chicks (6-8 weeks old) has just sneezed and has a little gurgling sound....
I immediately went and mixed up some oxytetracycline and put it in the watered .... I'm very pessimistic and in al honestly assume the worse. I think if I lose these chicks to sickness that I'm going to have to call my chicken days quits...
We just built a brand new 10x10 coop.... Sigh...
