YO GEORGIANS! :)

I want a cabinet!!! But, don't you miss a lot by having one? Can you still look in and watch them hatch? I'm still waiting for this one!

Come on guys, can't you just chip in and get it for my birthday or something?

Yep ... eggs almost can't help but hatch in the cabinet.
You got that right! When 10 of the 12 FBCM eggs hatched I was amazed. Never had that kind of luck with any of the foam incubators when it comes to hatching shipped eggs. Thanks for all the help from you and Carcar80 when I panicked a little.

I am thinking, that while I am cooking the pork roast on the smoker, I will also put a venison hind quarter roast on there and bring that as well. If it will be eaten, I don't want to cook it if no one eats deer meat  :)

it would be sliced, not pulled

I am already looking forward to that BBQ! Especially the venison...

I'm looking forward to the 30th.
Even have a new pair of shoes I won't wear here til after then :)

So how many for the egg swap?
I told hubby my new incubator HAS to be done by the 30th.

That's a good idea! I'll see about snagging some shoes at the thrift store just for the occasion.

So did anyone call dibs on bringing the buns yet?
Or a regular salad? (Lettuce and such, Non potato/macaroni/bean)

Yep. Big ol' window in the front. You can see the eggs. You can see the chicks down in the bottom. And there's no "set date" "lock down" silliness. You just keep'em rotating through. When one group hatches, throw some more eggs in to fill the holes. It's so easy, I let GAM do it all.
How do you clean it? All those shells and goo and germs?

The trays don't go into the hatcher drawer, just the eggs. I put a towel in mine and just wash it after the hatch and vacuum the hatch dust out of the corners of the hatch drawer. Every couple months I also take out all trays and vacuum the dust from the turner structure if needed.

They make "antibacterial" mats that are made to fit the hatcher, but to me it's kind of a waste of money when I can just reuse a towel. If your hatches are wet enough to mess up the hatcher through a towel, something's up!

(Probably your humidity.. See what I did there?)

Ok, have a grand total of 3 Ayam Cemani chicks hatched as of today. I am still amazed that any hatched. The eggs shipped Missouri and after they left the post office in Missouri they disappeared and showed up on day 9 and I still waited 24 hours before putting them in the incubator, just to let them settle. Out of the 7, only 5 were fertile and to have 3 hatch after all of that is amazing to say the least.

They aren't completely fluffed yet.
Congrats Eric...now let's hope you got a little girl in those 3.
