YO GEORGIANS! :)

I have a turkey that has gone broody ... in one of the chicken nests. Almost her entire back half sticks out. Silly girl.

Like somebody wearing clothes they think fit.

Who needs some barn cats?? Have a elderly family member who took in a stray a few years ago. She had some secret kittens and before you know it, they have cats everywhere. They give some away and more replace them. Now they are down to several and half are pregnant. A few more have already had kittens. Anyone in need of a cat, pregnant cat, or cat with a litter? Let me know! She knows if animal control takes them they will put them all to sleep. She has found homes for some and been told they are as tame now as any cat. Some stay with the chickens. She had the two oldest fixed and then another showed up and had more. It is just crazy! That is the joy of living in the country. People drop off animals like crazy! She has found more cats and kittens at their hay barn. They must all be good mousers. She hopes someone will take some before she has to call animal control. HELP!!

I wish her the best of luck. My cat I brought home from work is costing me $500 this week due to a UTI. Can't afford to take in any more.

Do y'all think a broody hen would stay broody if moved to a new location? Like, if someone bought her? Depends on the bird I'm sure just curious if anyone has experience.

Geez. Thanks y'all! All this talk of broodiness. Sophia has now gone broody again. She did it in December & the only thing that broke her was the hawk that got her. Aint nobody got time for that!
