Had a great time today! Thanks everyone! I am so excited over all my new hatching eggs!

Wedding is still going on. Rain held off until after the I do's but downpour afterwards! We were thinking everything would be ok since we were all under a big tent, but OMG! The downpour was so bad, the water came rushing down the hill and all through the tent area! People were sitting with their feet in 3 inches of water! It was unreal! First time we ever had rain on a wedding and it was a mess! All those ladies in their fancy shoes, walking in water and mud! (Not to mention what it is doing to our landscaping down there!) But, everyone gave up trying to not get wet and were dancing in the rain. Too bad it had to rain. It started out beautiful!

Oh nooo!! I thought of the wedding when the bottom fell out here.. Was hoping it steered clear! That stinks about your grass.. Yuck!! Glad they're able to enjoy themselves though.

Wait, you're getting rain? We haven't gotten a drop, which is expected since I just about finished planting the garden this evening. I should have washed my truck, that would have totally messed things up with the weather

We had a little cloudburst come through.. Little wind, lots of rain, then gone.

I got home and it looks like we had a serious downpour.
Puddles on the driveway, frogs singing their lungs out.
My fruit trees are happy!

This is the biggest mess ever! Rain and Rain! The guys at the wedding finally took off their shoes and shirts and everyone was dancing in the mud (once was a grass area!) We will not have grass there any more! And, all the mud has washed into the lake, so the whole lake tomorrow will be orange. And, the brim were spawning right there, so all their little spawn craters will probably be covered over with mud! Ugh! DH had been out in that rain with me until he couldn't take it anymore, so went to bed about an hour and a half ago. I was out there cleaning off tables, picking up trash and hauling the giant bags to the garage, getting all the food items put up, dumping a million half drunk drinks (trying to fish out the cherries and orange slices first!) And, all in between, trying to give people rides back and forth to the house and their cars in the Mule! And, that is not even our (my) job! We don't charge a venue fee, so they are responsible for all that themselves, but nobody was apparently assigned those tasks! I can't leave the food out there or the trash because of the bears and critters. I would end up having to clean up the whole woods if the bears come and haul all that stuff into the woods!

The bad thing, too, is that all the young folks have gone to the barn to hang out! Randy hates people in his barn when he's not there.....so many expensive tools and equipment, but he went to bed so what was I to do..? Tell them that they have to go back out in the rain to party?

So, tomorrow is going to be horrible. The clean up is going to be a nightmare! I'm just glad those chairs and tablecloths are mine! They are going to have to wash mud off of everything! The DJ said all his thousands of dollars worth of equipment was all wet! This has just been awful! Of course, all the drunk kids said it was great! Go figure!

Ha! And those poor ladies who wore nice expensive shoes! Ugh!

I've put my pjs on, and turned out the lights and locked my door! I think I've done enough for the night! Going to bed with pleasant thoughts of putting my new hatching eggs in the bator tomorrow! Nite all! At least my day was fun! Thank you all for that!
