YO GEORGIANS! :)

Oh sweet! I got a message from someone a lot closer to home who has the Marans and the Olive, and possibly the blue. I understand the need to have a guarantee sale if you hatch specifically for someone, and do not have a problem with that. Let me see what the local guy has to offer, and I will PM you if I would like to see what you could hatch for me. Thanks so much for the reply!

Skip the local guy and go with @Flowerbh, trust me! I've hatched or bought many chicks from her and they're always awesome! Lots of crests, feathered feet, curly feathers, AND some colored egg layers! A few naked necks, but if you're not into them then they have fans and they're pretty easy to unload.

Here's a few of mine that came from her flock.

Attention everyone! Do you need more chickens? Just got a text from a lady in Alpharetta who needs to get rid of her chickens ASAP or she will get tickets. She has a mother hen (1 1/2 years old) with 9 chicks that are 2 months old. $10 for mom and $5 each for chicks. She has others, too. But, I'm sure they will make a better deal. PM me if you are interested.

Little update on my Black Star (scalped about a month ago by a hawk)...she's healing tremendously fast this week. The slow progression had me worried that it would be months before we could reintegrate her to the flock. Now, it may be a few weeks. The original wound was the size of a half dollar (for those that remember). Today, just a nickel, vs a quarter just this past weekend, and the new skin is starting to show feathers! I can't wait to get her back with her sisters!!! Thank God for a YouTube friend who recommended a paste at TS...not sure she would be this far along, or still here, had I not known.

Just remember to introduce her as if she was a new member of the flock. She will have to reestablish herself.

We'really half way there...had to attach her run to the side of the main run so she would eat...she refused to eat in isolation. I'll be thinking about how we want to handle the last steps over the next few weeks. I'm not doing anything until her feathers really start covering the skin.
