Nah, they'll be find with no insulation in the coop. As long as there's not gaping holes with gale force winds blowing through there, they'll be ok.Our run houses our coop. It's an open (and cheap) coop design that will help with the crazy GA heat but also is adjustable to add any insulation for the cold. Speaking of which, I've read alot about how the folks in northern regions protect their chickens but is that needed in our climate? I'm a sucker for cold so to me GA gets "cold weather" but I know we don't get truly cold weather that often. I know it's probably more cold up in North GA but what did you do for the winter season? Does that breed need anything extra since they are cold hardy?
