I came home to a total of EIGHTEEN chicks! That's a great percentage for my juryrigged little giant incubator, with still more pipped and peeping!
@Lady Who the two tiny hen chicks Are adorable! It looks like the LO quit though.
@Flowerbh any idea what a chick from the dark olive egg should look like? It hatched while I wasn't home and I really would like to keep that one.

. That chicken math gets us every time! In all fairness though, the showgirls were too cute to pass up. One is dark and one is fluffy yellow with a black neck. They are the smallest Silkie chicks we have ever seen, and we have hatched a lot of them. I hope they're going to be okay because the traffic was terrible on the return trip home (lots of accidents), so an 1hr 45min trip took almost 3 hours. I don't like having chicks away from a direct heat source for that long. We're going to be watching them VERY closely for the next couple of days. We definitely don't want to lose them.
