YO GEORGIANS! :)

Sounds like everyone had a good time today at the get-together! Katsdar, how many chickens did you take home? I thought those silkie/brahma mixes were sure cute!

We did the treasure hunt for the renters. It had turned out great and everyone had a good time until we were hiking home thru the woods and one of the renters got into some yellow jackets! Ugh! Pumped her full of Benadryl and luckily she is ok!

Also had a lady bring her grandsons back (they had bought 15 chicks from me a few weeks ago) to buy some ducks! I sold her one of the beautiful breeder quality male runner ducks and she wanted a female and didn't mind it was old, so the boys picked out the chocolate female. (Katsdar, you hatched one of her eggs!) So now we only have 11 ducks. Hope my DH will stop complaining now!

I do need to rehome some of my older chickens. Do any of you know anyone who just wants pretty chickens running around and doesn't care if they lay many eggs anymore??? These were my first batches of chickens and I feel terrible about wanting to rehome them.....they were my pets before they became my business! You know what I'm saying?

Treasure hunt sounds so fun! We used to do them when we were kids.

I know a retired guy in Macon who likes hens just for fun. I gave him my older girls a while ago. Not sure how far you are from there.

@brucifer Thank you for the ribs and pulled pork! Plus the tips on smoking meat. My husband said they were delicious. Thank you everyone for coming by. I had a really nice time.

I just want to say I really enjoyed myself today and so did my DH. The birds are settled in and one of the banty hens had laid an egg in the box, and the rooster the very pretty one (yet to be named) is crowing and claiming stake to the new digs. I just am so happy with the new babies.

On another note I love my neighbors, on the way out I saw 4 very nice dining chairs sitting on the curb, so not having the number I called the mom of the adult dau and they were free!!!! it came with a table, leaf for the table, 4 chairs and a lighted hutch, so it was waiting on my front porch when we got home and it is now in the house.
ok
now following is what I'm offering for free, the table with leaf 4 chairs, tho not the ones that came with the table, I'm keeping them and I have a hutch but not the one that came with the table. I do not have a truck or trailer so if you want it you will have to come and get it, if you don't have a truck etc, I bet someone on here might be able to help for gas money. I can load and unload just not transport.
so this is what I"m offering the following. didn't get pics of chairs their ok have been repaired and fixed well but if interested I will send pics. Hutch has water damage lower left corner on the bottom and nope stuff doesn't come with it, lol
