I could not resist! I looked into my eggs! 7/7 Isabel Orps I'm positive are starting and 5/7 BBS Orps I'm sure about. I tried to be gentle and quick, so will be looking around day 7 for weights as well. Sometimes you just need a Tuesday pick-me-up!!

@Flowerbh I'm so back and forth on these ducks I want to keep them but know they should have a pond maybe I can start one in my spare time
Course this weekend is marked for changing furniture around.

I did the crop surgery. Cutting it open was the hardest part. Took forever to get all the grass and gook out. I cleaned her up with a lot of betadine before stitching her. Then gave her a bath and now she's resting on my lap. Hope I got it all out. Her crop feels a bit swollen from me messing with it so much. Here's hoping she recovers.

How is your chicken this morning?

I think I didn't get it all. It felt empty when I was doing it but everything was slimy and a mess. Now her crop is egg sized and firm with slight give. So I'm thinking there is more in there. She keeps making the neck movement like she's going to throw up. I am probably going to open her again when I get more stitches.

ok this is Shirley... i was told when i bought her that she was an Americana,,,i know there is an Americauna chicken, im confused...what would ya'll say she is?? i've included a pic of her sister Laverne, who has the tumor on her neck.
