YO GEORGIANS! :)

Flowerbh, what has happened with the twice-broody hen? Is she still setting? How many consecutive hatches do you think she can handle, endless? She could be an easy alternative to an incubator!
I never gave her any more eggs. I just keep pitching her out of the nests. I also give her time outs in the juvenile section.....still, every night, there she is sitting in the nests! I have had 4 broodies hatch eggs, 1 still sitting and 5 more broodies! Ugh! That's like 4-6 dozen eggs a week I don't get for farmers market!!!

I have three chicks for sale if anyone is looking. One is a frizzled cochin mixed with a showgirl. The other two I just know they have frizzled cochin in them, but not sure if the father is a cochin or the showgirl. They have four toes. The smooth one has curled toes from being malpositioned but I straightened them enough that it has no problem walking. $5 for the frizzled $2 for the smooth. Between 3 and 4 weeks old. Unsure on sex. I'm in middle Georgia.

You should come to the Tractor Supply Swap in Jasper on Saturday to sell them! You could get a lot more than $5 or $2! I am going to sell some of my purebreds and mixes! And, eggs and hatching eggs! (I have licenses for both poultry and eggs)

Have you tried soaking their rears and/or putting them in an open bottom cage and all that to cool them off?

Yesterday I sold 24 chicks, 1 dozen duck eggs and 9 dozen chicken eggs. Today I sold 3 White Crested Ducks, a frizzled young cockerel and an Ayam Cemani mix pullet! So, money in my pocket!
And, one of my broodies hatched 2 babies. 2 babies died in the shell.....I think this hen is so big that she literally smushed the eggs! The shells were all mushed up butthe membrane was still in tact.....the chicks were dead.
Another broody is due 7-6! Put more eggs under her than the others.

Are these chicks from Honey?

That is really far from me. But thanks for the suggestion.

Are these chicks from Honey?

I think so because they have her coloring. But not 100% because my cochins lay small white eggs too. So does my gamebird, but she's black and gamebird looking, so I know they aren't hers.
