YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hey Frizzles! I still like you ...... When I used to take in the mercies to the dealer for maintenance, I had a sense of panic when i was greeted with an expresso and a warm croissant from Henri's Bakery ....I knew it was going to be mega bucks. LOL.... I used to own 3 - no kidding...Great when they ran and expensive when they didn't...I had a little sedan, dtr had older little sedan and family had a big sedan. Sold them all and put toward the farm, never regretted , Now I drive a very very very old - I think it's 12, saturn wagon, great on gas, ac went out - costs more to repair than car is worth, not happening. Love that back seat lay down, it's hauled pigs, chicks, hens & roos, eggs, geese and pigs and goats! great car and almost 35 mph in city ....I love it! Radio is going out so I'll just listen to silence or plug in a portable to the cigarette lighter we don't use! Best $ for a used car we ever spent! Found it on craigslist bought - third owner from a Baptist missionary who was returning to Russia. Lovely lady and great car! Are you asleep yet...LOL!

Good morning Georgia,
Wow what a busy week on here. I havent been able to get on in a while, busy busy busy. I have 40 eggs that go into lockdown tomorrow. I ordered (first time ever) some eggs that were shipped to me, we usually hatch our own. We are trying to get a new breed and couldn't find anyone who had them close so we had to have them shipped. I am a little nervous, fingers crossed we get some to hatch.
Nancy, what kind of chicks, not like I really need chicks as I have 30 little ones in my brooder and more scheduled to hatch Sunday/Monday ish but I just can't resist them and yours are so healthy.
We lost one little chicken in the storm the other night, I think it drowned my 8 year old was devasted as it was one of hers. She is getting a thick skin though with this chicken stuff, seems she gets less and less upset everytime one dies. Kind of hurts my heart that she is getting immune to it.
Ok, must go to work. Everyone have a great day!

I hope yall weathered the storm alright!! Goodness, I thought the wind was gonna send chickens, coops and cows flying ALL over the farm! But, just one coop and the piglets house decided to vacate thier designated spots
gig.gif
Leaving 3 bewildered piglets burrowed in thier hay bedding and 2 roosters running madly for the carport! Cows got moved back up here for the spring/summer/fall. Goodness, so many calves!! Its nice to see the pastures full of cows and calves again. Romping around enjoying all the tall lush grass and nice spring weather. Looks like we'll have more calves born within the next few months. Mamas are waddling around like ducks!

I think DH needs a vacation... while we were sortin the herd Monday afternoon, he promptly stepped on a nail

Told him if he wanted a breather, he shoulda just said something

He's doin alright though, just lots of soaking in saline solution and rest.

Yall have a good evenin... I'm off to chill and see about takin care of this sunburn. 6 hours sortin cows through the head chute took a toll
