YO GEORGIANS! :)

We had a bit of rain yesterday afternoon, and things cooled down by 20 degrees. It was really nice last night. It looks like we won't get any rain or wind from H. Irene here. Would like the rain, but I still remember the many hurricanes in 2005 that went over us. I'll keep my drought for a while longer.

Would love to come to the party in Bowdon, especially would love to try your honey wheat bread, Nancy! But I just pulled in from the day's events and need to tend to the beasts (yes, that includes my DD & DH) and my lovely feathered girls.

Hope the market and bake sale go well for all of you in Bowdon!

Was a really great market, bake sale and cookout!!! Lucky you for that rain!!! Y'all have a restful evening...This farmer gal is soon asleep!

Would anyone from along west 20 be interested in going? It's 177 miles from my house. I'd love to do it, but would prefer riding with others

My husband is a candeler. This is the only way you can legally sell your farm fresh eggs. Anyone who can explain more thoroughly, please feel free to add on to this!

To sell eggs at a market off of your property in Ga, you must have a candeling license. You do not need one if you sell direct to consumers on your own property. Candeling is the process of grading eggs. there are many tutorials on BYC and the Net. The Dept of Agr. will host a class for free on a Saturday when they get a minimum of 40 people. It will be in Gainesville, Ga (north of Atlanta). Call the Mcduffee County Extension office to have your name placed on the list.
