YOGURT? A GOOD TREAT FOR CHICKENS?

I WAS WONDERING IF PLAIN NONFAT YOGURT WAS GOOD TO GIVE TO MY CHICKENS? IS IT GOOD FOR THEM?

Once they have had a taste, make sure you keep your fingers out of the way when you give it to them!!

I mix a little bit of their crumbles with the yogurt so they won't sling it everywhere. The chicks love it. This way i know that they aren't filling up on yogurt and not getting the nutrition they need. Seems to be working for the chicks.

ooo That's a great idea! Sorry, but I was reading about feeding since we are just getting new chicks this April. I'll have to try that though!

Yogurt has a probiotic so that it aides their digestive system

It is great for them & they like it. But give them plain. It is especially good in summer because it keeps them hydrated.
